Okay, I didn’t comment on how Lynn J. is obviously just running old strips that make her ex-husband look terrible, or the weirdness of Granthony’s parenting techniques, but today’s strip has shocked me out of my silence. WTF? It smells like “legs”? Why is “legs” in quotation marks? What do legs smell like? What do “legs” smell like? I get that they were trying to say that she’s short and all, but seriously WTF? Worst FBOFW ever, and that’s saying a lot.

What in the hell is going on in the FOOBiverse? Michael is about to die in a fire because he wanted to save his stupid manuscript? I know it’s stupid and all, but I’m actually interested to see what happens, and kind of worried that there will be repeat strips over the holidays and I’ll have to wait to find out. Not that I care about Michael — he’s an a-hole. I just can’t believe they would actually kill him off or even let something really bad happen to him. Deanna? Sure. But not Michael. He’s a PATTERSON! What do you think will happen?

Has anyone else been reading FBOFW lately? It’s been giving me the biggest case of mental blue balls (sorry for the gross metaphor, but seriously) ever. Does Liz reciprocate Granthony’s feelings? What happened to Granthony’s kid? Did he stuff her in the playhouse? What was the point of showing the playhouse with the fence, anyway? Was Liz impressed by any of that? What about Paul? Did he hook up with that new teacher or what? And now they’re back to the Grandpa/stroke storyline, which is mad depressing, although thankfully they haven’t tried to show Grandpa since he had the stroke, because I think that would freak me out. Most of the characters are poorly drawn to begin with, much less someone in a coma.

Was anyone else shocked by the blatant ass-grabbing in today’s For Better of For Worse? Although now that Paul has a new love interest, Liz can move back to Ontario and hook up with Granthony. Bleh. Paul’s too good for her anyway.

I was enjoying this article about a party bus for rent in NYC, but I don’t see what’s so new about it. We always rented them for bachelorette parties (especially those that involved trips to Canada) and other wedding-related stuff. Although I guess ours didn’t have stripper poles.

If you’ve been wondering what’s up with Matrix creators the Wachowski brothers, and remember reading reports of one of them, Larry, possibly deciding to become a woman, this article gives sort of an update. Although without any commentary from the subjects of the article, it’s more a “here’s what we know” rather than “here’s what’s happening now”.

Seriously, though. What’s going on with Michael Patterson? I get that his in-laws are annoying, but he can’t take one night off to hang out with them? You know, when I have a writing deadline coming up, as well as another obligation, I rearrange things BEFORE the event so that I don’t have to leave early. When did Michael turn into such a dink?

If you need to make food-related gifts for some reason, here’s the recipe for the candy I gave out for Christmas this year and last year. My family LOVES it. I call it Baxter’s Bark and make up little labels with Baxter’s picture on it that say, “It’s worse than his bite!” I know the saying doesn’t make any sense, but roll with it. And yes, I am a huge nerd.
