According to Variety, the Friday Night Lights renewal is not quite a done deal yet, but should be announced today. But mostly I had to post so that I could include this FREAKING AWESOME photo of (I assume) Billy and Mandy’s wedding. I mean, spoiler alert, but it’s not like you didn’t know they were getting married and that Tyra and Rigs would be in it, and that it would be awesome. Love this show.

It’s official! `Friday Night Lights’ has been renewed. New episodes will air exclusively on DirectTV beginning in October, and then those episodes will reair on NBC in January. It’s a weird solution, but I’ll take it — the only annoying thing is going to be avoiding spoilers from DirectTV viewers between October and January.

Nikki Finke is reporting the NBC is going to renew Friday Night Lights. Holy crap! I never dreamed that would happen. Cue the gospel choir singing “Oh Happy Day!” I recently lent my S1 DVDs to a co-worker and he’s like, “Why didn’t you tell me to watch this show before?” I DID! And he didn’t listen. But I understand that people need to come to shows in their own time. So if you’re not watching, go out and buy/rent the S1 DVDs now that you can be assured the series will continue. Or not. You know, no pressure.
