One
year ago: I was busy. I recycled a picture of me wearing
my Tomato
Nation t-shirt, because Sarah linked to me and I got a
bunch of hits from it.
Yeah, so much for more frequent updates. Well, you never
know. It was less than a week! Last time I waited like 2 weeks
to update. So I guess technically that is more frequent.
I've been working on my portfolio to put on my other website
so I can try to get a job, since I'm done with school in like
3 weeks. However, I do have some exciting news...I got a consulting
job!
Mary works with a guy, and his wife works for a credit union.
The credit union is looking to add a website so that people
can do online banking and online bill payment. Obviously,
that's all a little above and beyond what I can do, so they're
hiring other companies and looking at packaged solutions that
other credit unions have used. But the woman wants someone
to be like the liaison between her and the vendors, because
she doesn't feel like she knows enough about the web to know
if she's getting ripped off or what. So she wants me to translate
what the vendors are telling her and let her know if they're
on the level. I think it sounds like a pretty cool job! I
start next week. So that's pretty exciting.
In other news, Jim is back from San Diego and he had a great
time. He sent in his film to be developed yesterday, so hopefully
I can post some of the pictures here. He said he couldn't
live there because the people are too vain and they drink
too much. No offense to any readers in San Diego. Maybe it
was just the people that Jim hung out with or something.
supergush
is releasing their new CD this weekend. They were on the local
music show last night (which I forgot to listen to, but it's
archived on the web! Look for the April 16th show). Actually,
looking at my entry a year ago, they were on the same show
this time last year! That's funny. They are doing one morning
show on Thursday and another on Friday. Then they have a CD
release party on Saturday at the Hotel Syracuse. If you live
in the area, come on down! I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.
They're also premiering their new video for "Sally Hayes".
Tonight is the full moon, so expect weirdness. Usually, my
cats are crazy around this time. Actually, my cats are crazy
all the time. Grendel has developed a habit of chewing on
one of my snow globes. What's up with that?
Okay, I have to go do my Party of Five recap. The
producers were nice enough to schedule two new episodes this
week. Thanks, producers! As if the two-hour season finale
weren't enough.
