Also written today: Grammy
Predictions.
Hey, look, it's me! I'm not dead! I realized that I haven't
updated in two weeks AND my recent updates haven't included
pictures, so some of you were probably thinking that I had
grown a second head or something and was in seclusion. Nope,
just busy. I am having such a hard time balancing everything
this semester. There's stuff I want to do (like working on
my website or writing MBTV recaps or watching TV) and stuff
I have to do (like school work or GA work) and I find myself
doing what I want to do instead of what I have to do, thus
throwing myself into an endless loop of playing catch-up and
always feeling behind. But I am sort of caught up now (but
I still have a lot of work to do!).
And I'm chewing gum in that picture, which is why my mouth
looks so weird. The thing is, I'm a bit of a backslider on
the smoking thing. I started smoking again in November. But
now I'm quitting again, hopefully for good this time. It's
been 6 days. Go, me! My other goal is to start working out,
which hasn't happened yet, but I did vacuum the living room
today. Why is that relevant? I know that when I work out,
I end up getting up close and personal with the floor, and
I get all grossed out if there are crumbs and stuff. So I
needed to vacuum before I started working out. And I vacuumed
today. Hey, it's a step.
I went to visit my parents a few weekends ago. I also got
to hang out with Molly and Brenda, which was really fun. It's
nice to just hang out with people you've known forever, and
that you feel completely comfortable around. Plus we're planning
our class reunion. Ten years! More stuff I should be working
on instead of writing this entry.
Jim and I went to see "Scream 3" this past weekend.
It was okay. I jumped a few times. It wasn't as good as the
first one, but better than the second one. Jim and I discovered,
when discussing the movie afterwards, that neither of us could
remember the second one. We kept getting it mixed up with
"I Still Know What You Did Last Summer". Jim was
like, "Wasn't Brandy in Scream 2?" and I was like,
"No, it was some other girl. Brandy was in ISKWYDLS".
And he was like, "Wasn't she in both?" Then I said,
"Wasn't Sarah Michelle Gellar in Scream 2?" and
he was like "No, she was in the first I Know... movie."
Well, turns out I was right on both counts. Elise Neal played
the roommate in "Scream 2" and SMG was in both movies.
But we could not remember. I had to check IMDB.
In other exciting news, Mary asked me to be in her wedding!
I had made the offhand comment that I was glad I wasn't in
her wedding, and now I feel bad. I didn't really mean that
and I only said it because I didn't think she was going to
ask me! I am honored that she asked me and it will be the
first time that I am in a wedding where I know both bride
and groom equally well, which is pretty cool. Plus, I've already
helped Mar with the planning and I feel like a part of it
already. I'm honored that they want me to be part of their
special day. I think it will be a really fun wedding. Ooh,
I wonder who I will walk down the aisle with! It's not until
October, so I don't want to get too excited just yet.
So that's what's happening with me. I am updating the
weblog almost every day, and sometimes I include little
updates there. I wish I could promise more regular updates,
but I can't. So
join the notify list if you get sick of checking back,
only to be disappointed. Hopefully later in the semester I
will have more time.
The weather is beautiful here today, as it is in many parts
of the country. I have the windows open! I know we will still
get a few more snowstorms, but it's a nice reprieve and I
think it will help everyone shake off the winter doldrums.
I know it's helping me!

I totally swiped this link from someone, and now I can't
remember who. If you recognize it, e-mail
me so I can give you proper credit. Anyway, it's
the Grim Reaper age guesser and it got mine right! I don't
know how it works, but it's cool.
There's probably a law that I have to link to this
article in Wired about weblogging.
A lot of people also linked to this
article today about the death of personal publishing.
I could not disagree more with Jason Snell and I think most innovation on the
web occurs on personal web pages and then spreads to corporate
sites.
As a follow-up to a previous link: Holland,
MI votes down the proposal to install filters on public
library computers. Way to go, Hollandites!
The
Palm DVD theater is just so cool. Imagine waiting in line
somewhere or being on a train or something, while watching
a movie on DVD.
If you are addicted to The Sims like I am (although I haven't
had time to play in about 2 weeks!),
this site has some cool downloads.

Who's
