Go back to my Grammy
predictions and see how I did!
I am feeling a little blurry today, thus the picture.
My next-door neighbors (the Mormons, for those of you long-time
listeners) are still confusing to me. At first, I thought
they were running a cult because there were so many kids so
close in age. Then I thought maybe it was a day care, but
I never saw anyone getting dropped off or picked up. Then
I found out that they are Mormons, which I guess explains
the proliferation of children. And I'm all for religious freedom,
so more power to them.
Except, they are really irresponsible pet owners. They have
a beautiful chocolate lab named "Cocoa". They leave
this dog tied up outside all the time, and no one plays with
it or pays any attnetion to it, except to yell "Cocoa,
stop barking!". Duh! The reason your dog barks all the
time is because it's bored and it wants attention. Here's
a thought. Have one of your thousand children take it for
a walk once in a while, or play fetch or something. Why have
a dog if you're just going to leave it tied up all the time?
The reason I bring this up is because either they are dog-sitting
or they got a new dog. There's a new puppy over there today,
tied up and barking.
I was reading Mo's
picks for the
Diarist.net awards today. I am so out of the loop. I hadn't
even heard of most of the people nominated. I think I read
a lot of journals, but I haven't added many new ones lately.
Usually I only add a new one if someone quits or I get sick
of them. Anyway, maybe it's because I don't read the nominated
journals regularly, but I didn't find the humorous entries
very humorous or the dramatic entries very dramatic. But I
can't complain about the nominees unless I want to get off
my butt and nominate someone myself.
I've been listening to the Lori Johnson/Richard Kramer show
on eyada.com. It's not bad. The only thing that bugs me is
that Lori always tells people they can "instant e-mail"
here. It's either "instant message" or e-mail. There's
no such thing as "instant e-mail". Well, there is,
but it's just regular e-mail. One other peeve of the day:
a local radio station has this commercial where a woman says,
"Hey guys! If you can't get it anywheres else..."
Anywheres! That's not a word! And they play this commercial
about a hundred times a day. It drives me insane.

Harry Knowles would do well to take note of their journalistic

NBC
puts "Twenty-One" at 9 on Mondays and puts "Freaks

break and somehow get renewed! Please!
EW's
take on the Grammy Awards. I didn't watch them, so I can't
tell you what I thought. I know you were all dying to know.
Jim bought me that
cool mousepad with the websafe colors on it as a surprise!
Thanks, Jim!
