So there's Jim and I on New Year's Eve. Didn't Jim do a good
job of looking like he doesn't want to kill himself? And I
didn't even plan it, but his tie kind of matches my shirt.
And I'm wearing lipstick! That never happens. Anyway, I think
Jim looks super handsome in that picture. Hands off, ladies
(and guys), he's mine! I, on the other hand, have a gigantic
forehead and I don't know why I think pulling my hair back
will make it look smaller.
Katie pointed out that I named my entry from the 1st "010199.htm".
Oops! I fixed it, and tried to fix all the links, but let
me know if something is screwy.
I had a pretty lazy weekend, which is the point of New Year's
Day, I think. Jim and I watched the entire third season of
Oz, which was a little much to take at once. It's a good show,
but Jim made a good point about it. He said after watching
8 hours of it, you start expecting all television shows to
feature male frontal nudity and people getting shivved. It's
disconcerting. While we
watched the show, I made some Thank You cards for my holiday
gifts. I had bought a pack of green cardstock and envelopes
at the craft store before the holidays. So I made up a Thank
You graphic and printed a bunch out (with my new printer!),
and then glued them to the front of the cards. Then yesterday,
I took a silver pen and wrote out the cards, and had Jim sign
them with a gold pen. I think they turned out pretty nice.
I was hoping to find some nice stickers or something too,
but Wal-Mart's selection left a lot to be desired, to say
the least. All they had was little smiley faces, which didn't
seem appropriate.
As mentioned above, yesterday I went to Wal-Mart to buy one
of those gigantic Rubbermaid totes to pack away my Christmas
decorations. I found one on sale, and stuffed it into the
shopping cart. I also bought one of those picture frames where
you can make a collage, but that's not what I'm going to do
with it. I'm going to cover it with paper or material, and
then criss cross it with ribbons, and then use it to stick
pictures and cards in. You always see that in the Martha Stewart
magazines, except she uses like linen and shit. I made one
to display my Christmas cards, and I used wrapping paper and
wire-edged ribbons. It turned out all right. I didn't measure
or anything, so it's a bit uneven. But it serves its purpose.
Now I'm going to make a non-holiday one.
I spent the rest of the day putting away the Christmas decorations,
and Jim and I picked
up the holiday deitrus from the living room. Then we watched
the final three episodes of "The Sopranos" in preparation
for the new season. I am totally digging having HBO.
So the middle picture on this page is Mary and me on New
Year's Eve. Then this picture at the bottom is Mary and Terry.
Terry had some serious red-eye in this picture, and I tried
to fix it. I think it looks okay if you don't look too closely!
Thanks to Mary who took all these pictures with her brand
new digital camera!

If you are thinking about a career in web development, CNet

people involved in web building.

So
the guy who attacked George Harrison is crazy. Does anyone
else find it odd that his mother is talking calmly about how
the guy had to wear a Walkman to quiet the voices in his head?
Maybe he needed some treatment and/or medication? I found
that odd.
