I'm looking for more pictures to substitute in when I don't feel like taking a picture. Any suggestions? Send them in!

So here's something that's annoying me. I am on the "Freaks and Geeks" mailing list. It's supposed to be announcement only. It lets you know when there's going to be a new episode, that sort of thing. Well, they sent out an e-mail before Monday's episode, but they accidentally (or inadvertently) included all of the member's e-mail addresses right in there, instead of creating a group or using BCC:. So now, all these idiots are hitting "Reply All" and say "Why did you show everyone's e-mail address, you idiots?" and then other people hit "Reply All" and say, "Don't call them idiots." and then other people hit "Reply All" and say, "Take me off this mailing list." and then other people hit "Reply All" and try to explain the whole thing. At this point, I want to hit "Reply All" and say, "Stop fucking hitting Reply All, you morons!" but then I would probably get hate mail, so I just filter the e-mails right into my deleted mail folder. Except there still is no way to get off the mailing list that I know of. And I wish the administrator of the list would send something out telling people to quit it.

Which brings up another thing that's been bugging me lately. What is the deal with video games and sexy women? I was looking at one of Jim's gaming magazines last night, and I am so incredibly tired of all the ads with half naked women. I don't get it. Is the message supposed to be, "If you buy this game, these women will come to your house and have sex with you"? I mean, if it was a Playboy CD-ROM, and the ad had half-naked women, I guess that makes sense. But these are for war games or sim games or something. I can understand that for the target market, having a scantily clad woman increases the chances that the consumer will look at the ad. But does that translate into sales? These are the unanswered questions. For me, it makes me want to NOT buy the game, out of spite. See: Tomb Raider.

We got a bunch of snow last night. We haven't had snow since Christmas, so it was kind of nice. I say that knowing that I don't have to leave the house for the next few days. If I had to drive into work this morning, I might have been kind of upset. But no schools were closed. We average 116 inches of snow per winter. Last winter, we got 98.3 inches, which doesn't seem right. It was a light snow year! Actually, it snowed every day from like January 1 to January 20, and I think that accounts for most of that total! But I like the snow, especially when I get to stay inside and look at it out the window. The cats agree.

Last night, we were watching One Crazy Summer on Encore Romance. I'm not sure why it was on that channel. I remembered that movie as being hilarious! I saw it in the theater when I was in high school. It does not bear repeat viewings. It was not really funny at all. The only fun we had was playing "Hey, It's That Guy!"

I have to go now and write my Party of Five recap for Mighty Big TV. I'm really rusty. I'm not sure I remember how to recap! I haven't done one since early December.

This could be an interesting article about the sex lives (or lack thereof) of high tech workers in Silicon Valley, except that the cutesy attempt at programming language is so annoying, I stopped reading halfway through.

They Might Be Giants tops the list of the most legally downloaded MP3s. Did you know they do the theme song for "Malcolm in the Middle"?

An EW critic suggests putting "Freaks and Geeks" on the WB. I swear to God, Wing Chun suggested the same thing to me earlier this week.

Mr. Blackwell's Worst Dressed List is out.

Scientists have discovered a possible viral cause of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).

Kymm pointed out the dog test (and there are lots and lots of other tests here too!). I'm a Bassett Hound. I think that's pretty accurate. Lazy, laid-back, no-frills.

Wait, I also took the Celebrity Matchmaker test and my celebrity match is Richard Simmons! How funny is that?
