March 3, 2000

I don't know about this new color scheme. I'll give it a
shot though. Let me know if it's completely unreadable though,
and I'll make adjustments
So I'm sick and it sucks. It's the first time I've been sick
for more than a day this winter. I had a cold back in January,
but it was just a stuffed up nose. This is a sore throat,
my chest hurts, my nose is stuffed, I have a fever, and I'm
achey. I'm dizzy. I have no appetite. It sucks. So I'm grouchy
because of that.
I have a paper due today too. It's a group paper. I pulled
all the various sections together and sent it out to my teammates,
and now I'm waiting to hear back from them with changes before
we hand it in. I told them I need to know changes before 2:00
PM so that I have time to adjust before handing in the paper
before 5. I have a bad feeling that (like last time) everyone
is going to send me changes at like 3, and then get mad if
I don't make changes. Oh well. I told them, right? My professor
for that class is very ill, and we have a meeting on Monday
with the Dean to discuss the future of the course. It's a
required course for my degree, so I have to take it. I don't
know what the school is going to do, and I feel bad for my
professor and his family. But, selfishly, I wonder what's
going to happen with my course too.
Jim and I are just old people, I think. I was laying on the
couch last night, and Jim was laying on the floor in order
to give me room to stretch out since I'm sick. We both fell
dead asleep at like 9:00. At 10, he woke up and went to bed.
I stayed up, since after sleeping for an hour, I was wide
awake. Plus, I can't breathe very well and I knew if I went
to bed, I would only toss and turn keeping Jim awake. But
what is up with both of us falling asleep at 9:00? We are
old.
This entry is not making much sense, is it? I think I'm going
to stop now before I go off in a fever-induced delirium. Have
a good weekend.

I agree with Brig
that the Web has been slow the past few days. It's been hard
to find interesting stories or sites.
This
writer says that Martha Stewart's products are overpriced.
What she doesn't address is that the reason is some people
will pay more for something with the Martha Stewart name because
they think it means quality. Or they just go to K-Mart and
get the low-rent versions. Obviously, if people weren't buying,
they would lower the price point.
I've
always said that the so-called "women's sites" suck
because they have no interesting content. I think something
like Salon has more women's content than iVillage, because
they don't limit their scope.
Felicity
is moving to Wednesday nights. The producers keep blaming
Keri Russell's haircut, but as someone who has to watch every
episode closely, I can say the problem is bad writing and
the loss of a certain humor the show had last season. The
last few episodes have been better though.
