Hey, you! Yeah, you, who haven't updated your bookmarks since I got my own domain name! I know there are a few of you out there. Please update your bookmarks so that they are http://www.fresh-hell.com/whatever instead of http://home.twcny.rr.com/kimandjim/whatever. Why? Because within the next month, I will be putting something else in that webspace, and it won't forward you to this site anymore. Public service announcement over. So I'm cheating and writing this Thursday night because I'm going to be gone all day tomorrow. Then I'm going on vacation Sunday for a week, so this is my last entry for a while! But I promise I'm not quitting - I'm too addicted to my sidebar. That is so sad, and yet true. So where am I going tomorrow, you ask? OK, you didn't, but I'm going to tell you anyway. I'm going to Six Flags Darien Lake (formerly just Darien Lake) tomorrow with Jim and Jim's best friend Ken and we're meeting Wing Chun and Glark! Live and in person! I'm so excited that it doesn't even bother me that it's supposed to rain and all tomorrow. We have backup rain plans, if you're worried. But it's supposed to rain in the morning and then clear up later in the day. I haven't been to Darien Lake in about five years, but when I was in high school, we used to go once or twice per summer. I remember one time I went with Molly and her family for Kodak Days (her dad worked at Kodak). We thought we were so hot. We have a picture from that day and it features Molly in a crop top and me in a Choose Life t-shirt (I shit you not), both of us wearing Dove shorts hiked up to our necks, practically. But I remember thinking I looked so great because Molly french braided my hair. Molly was the queen of french braids. Jim, Ken and Justin are playing WWF Warzone on the Playstation. All I know is Ken made up a character named "Krazy Ken" and it looks like an alien gone horribly wrong. I don't watch the wrestling. Nothing against it - I just already watch way too much TV and wrestling is on like every night. So if I started watching it, I would have to watch it all the time and I would never leave the house. Boy howdy is it ever hot here. At around 8 p.m., when it should be cooling off, it was 86 degrees, and the heat index was 88 degrees. At 8:00 at night! What is up with that? And yet it's been dark and cloudy all day, but it doesn't rain. In another huge shift in topic, I was watching VH1 Where Are They Now. That show is awesome because they don't look up the same old tired people - where's Meatloaf? How about David Cassidy? Instead, they look up people from my youth. The episode I was watching had Tiffany, Debbie (Deborah!) Gibson, T'Pau (remember "Heart and Soul") and Animotion ("Obsession"). Now THAT is entertainment. Of course, they are all recording new albums in preparation for their big comebacks. That's about all my brain can put together at this point. See you all on Monday the 12th! |
Warning: clicking on these links will launch a new browser window. I don't really understand this story about Dreamworks, but it does give me the opportunity to say that a guy I went to high school with works in their HR department. And if you knew this guy...you would have to wonder. Apple is suing Daewoo, saying they stole their design for the iMac. Hasn't Apple learned their lesson about lawsuits alleging someone stealing their design? Boy, that Michelle Williams has a lot to say lately, doesn't she? I think her publicist might want to advise her not to give any more interviews. While not the best designed site on the web, this is certainly one of the most useful. Whenever you see an internet related term that you don't understand, go here. From that same site, you can have word definitions pop up. We were trying to figure out how to do this in one of my classes last semester. Over the next week, you may find yourself wondering, "Where is Kim?" |
