I haven't showered since Monday and I'm grossing myself out, so this is going to be a short one. Probably too much information.

The summary is up for Episode 5 of the Real World, titled Guess What? Ruthie Has a Problem. When you get there, you may notice that I created a separate notify list for Real World summaries, that you can join if you would like.

So, did y'all watch the Buffy season finale last night? I had already seen it via Real Player, but it was so much better on TV. I really don't get this whole Angel fixation - he looks like Frankenstein to me. Jim asked me, if not Angel, did I like Xander or Oz? I looked at him as if he were on crack and said, "Oz, of course." Who doesn't love Oz? He's hilarious!

The website that I'm working on for my internship disappeared last week and we couldn't figure out why. Turns out they forgot to pay their domain name registration renewal fee. Oops! That $35 is really important. So I let them know they should pay it before someone swipes the URL and it's back up today. Kind of scary.

Speaking of my internship, I had my site visit with my academic advisor on Monday. It went really well. I was kind of nervous because I really haven't gotten any feedback from the company I'm working for. I just kind of do my work and they look at it and go "Change this" or "This is good". But apparently, they're happy with my work. AND, I got paid for the first time since I started which was the most exciting to me. I'm not getting paid much, but it's something. Every little bit helps. Plus I can't believe that people will pay me to do what I do for a hobby anyway - design web sites!

Speaking of which, I've got to get cracking on the supergush redesign. I was checking out other band's websites to get ideas. If you know of any great band websites, local or national, send me the URL so I can check it out. The funniest thing I discovered is that Hootie and the Blowfish have a website at hootie.com. I don't know why that cracked me up so much.

I've been spending a lot of time over at Fametracker. It's really an awesome website and I love the design. I'm posting on the Forums as KR.

I got in a fight with someone on the Dawson's Wrap forums about the Gap. This person (don't know if it was a he or she) stated that the Gap didn't become popular and successful until the 90's. I remember the Gap being popular when I was in high school in the 80's and said so. Then s/he got all debate class on my ass, and started spouting fact and figures and I'm sure no one else cared. So I just said, "Dude, you win. I give up. Let's move on." but secretly it was still bugging me. So I looked up some information and discovered that in fact, the Gap was so successful in the 1980's that they had two or three stock splits and record profits. So I feel better. You all would've believed me, right? I'm such a child. I'm going to let it go. Peace out.

Thanks to reader Maggie for this one: Funny tech support tales. I'm even willing to overlook my most hated font: Comic Sans MS.

An interesting story about the role of PR firms in the high tech industry. I think I use the word interesting way too much.

Portals on the way out? Yes, say analysts.

Brunching Shuttlecocks rate random crap they got in the mail.

I think competitive intelligence is fascination, and I think I'd be pretty good at it. Here, the author talks about why you have to be careful what you post on your company's website.

Does it seem possible that Hanson hasn't even released a second album?

An interview with Tom Fontana, creator of Homicide and Oz. I'm seriously considering getting HBO just for Oz and The Sopranos. Maybe they'll release it on video soon.
