This is Randy's baby. It's a head on shot - mouth on the bottom. It's kind of like the Shroud of Turin or something! But I think this is so exciting. They didn't have ultrasounds when my mom had me - I can't imagine having one of these in my baby book. How freaky to be able to see a picture of yourself in utero!

I finally had my final exam yesterday. I'm not sure what to think. I did all the studying I could, and it was open book. I am usually a really fast test taker, and it took me about 2 hours and fifteen minutes. The whole time I was thinking, "Writing is so archaic. I wish I had a keyboard! This would go so much faster." I like to write small things - notes, letters etc. But when trying to cram 14 essay type answers into 3 hours, a keyboard would have really helped. I kept having to shake out my hand, and when I was done, I had that little dent on my finger.

After I finished, I handed it in. I've learned that if I sit there and re-read my answers, I start second-guessing myself and end up doing worse. I just checked through and made sure I had answered every question. I went and talked to Jim a bit, and then came back and waited for my friends to finish to see what they thought. I was feeling pretty good, because I didn't think it was that hard. When my friends all came out, they all said they thought it was REALLY hard. Oops. So either I did really well, or I missed something. Oh well, it's over and done with now. All I can do is wait for the grade, I guess.

After the exam, a bunch of us went out to celebrate. I arranged for Jim to come and pick me up so I didn't have to worry about drinking and driving. I hadn't eaten anything all day because I was so nervous about the exam. I ordered a turkey club for dinner, which was REALLY good. Too bad they are like little fat bombs, what with the mayo and bacon and potato chips. But I deserved a little celebration. I also had two Woodchuck ciders, which they had on tap. So I felt a little giddy, but I certainly wasn't drunk - this was all over a period of about 3 hours.

<WARNING! Sickness ahead!>
After I got home, I had the worst headache, so I started drinking water. I ended up going to bed at 10 p.m. which is super early for me. I woke up in the middle of the night with the sweats and feeling really gross. I ended up puking at about 2 a.m. and just feeling like I was going to die. I was all sweaty and gross, and had a pounding headache. So what do you guys think? Was it from drinking (which I very rarely do)? The stress of the exam? The flu? This morning I still felt crappy but this afternoon my headache is gone and I managed to eat some yogurt. I still don't feel great though.

I used to have serious problems in college, when I had the time and inclination to go out drinking more often. Most people could learn what quantity or types of alcohol would hurt them the next day - whether their limit was 4 or 5 (or 10) drinks, or if hard liquor caused problems that beer didn't (or mixing the two). I had no rhyme or reason. Some nights I would have 1 or 2 drinks over the course of an evening, and wake up the next day feeling terrible. Other nights I would have many more than that, and feel fine the next day. I tried drinking water before bed, taking aspirin, all of the known tricks. Didn't matter. That's one of the reasons I rarely drink anymore. I hate hangovers.

And I really wanted to Tae-Bo today, to get rid of some of the stress. I did it last on Saturday, in between studying, and it really helped. I think I overdid it a bit thought because I was REALLY sore the next day. Oh well, that means it's working, right? My mom said I looked like I've lost weight. I've only lost about 8 pounds on the scale, but I think I've tightened up other places and gained muscle.

I think one of my dream jobs would be an editor at a place like Yahoo! You surf the web all day (which I do anyway) and judge which sites are better than others (which I do anyway). Plus you get Yahoo! stock options, which are pretty valuable these days. Anyway, this is an interview with the woman who came up with the organizational scheme for Yahoo! I kind of like typing Yahoo! because of the exclamation point. Yahoo! Yahoo! Yahoo!

Did you know companies are changing their names so they can better reflect their internet presence? This is know as "dot-comming" your business. Computer Literacy became Fatbrain.com.

So some of the first reviews of Phantom Menace were lukewarm at best. Is anyone surprised, really? When you are expecting the Second Coming, a movie is bound to be a letdown. I am hoping for a fun, action-packed movie. I'm not looking for life changing answers or even much in the way of acting or plot. I mean, the first three movies didn't have much of those things - it's the cool creatures and the space fights that keep bringing 'em back for more, right?
