Did you watch the Dawson's Creek season finale last night? It was awful! So boring. Here's an idea - get rid of any and all parents. 90% of the time, the kids just do what they want anyway. No one cares about the parents. Didn't they learn their lesson from 90210? They got rid of the parents. I swear that show used to be good - in a trashy, guilty pleasure kind of way. Now it's just terrible.

Felicity, on the other hand, is really turning out to be a good show. Mary and Molly and I had a 20 minute conversation last night re: Ben or Noel, who should Felicity choose? That's the kind of show I'm looking for. One that my friends and I can dissect in minute detail. We rewound the tape probably 15 times last night to try and read Felicity's lips in the last scene. I still contend that one of the words was LaGuardia. Mary tried to say she was saying Fourth. Then we sat there for 10 minutes saying "LaGUAAARdia" and "FOOOUUURTH" to try and see what our mouths looked like as we said it. Yes, we need to get lives.

Hey, I got a link from About.com (formerly The Mining Co.). She said I was witty! I've actually gotten less hits from this link than others though. The most were probably from Kymm, but the longest lasting was Sarah's - I still get probably 10 per day from her site. Enough meta talk.

I stayed up kind of late last night - about 2 a.m. or so. Then I woke up this morning and looked at the clock, but there was a glare on it because the sun was shining in. So I thought it said 1:18. I remember thinking, "Sweet fancy Moses! I can't believe I slept straight through to 1:00!" Not that it's that unusual for me to sleep that late, but usually I wake up a few times before that, and then roll over and go back to sleep. Suddenly I heard someone walking around the house, and got a little scared - and it was Jim. I said, "What are you doing here? Why aren't you at work?" and he said, "I was just about to leave. Is that OK?" and I looked at the clock again and it was only 7:18. But I got up anyway, because I'm crazy like that.

I'm having laundry issues again. You may remember from previous entries that I suspect my neighbors of running a laundry service, because there are only two people and yet they do laundry ALL THE TIME! I have been trying to do laundry for a week now, and every time I head down there, either one of the machines is running or both are full and not running. I mean, it's great to have free washer and dryer access, but not if I can never use them. I'd almost rather have to pay and be able to do laundry when I want. Help me, Constant Reader. Am I being unreasonable? Should I say something to my neighbors?

I had class again last night. I asked one of my friends in class if I am a complete nerd, because I sit there and nod at everything the teacher says. Last night we were talking about the history of websites - 1st generation through 4th generation. And I know the answers to all the questions. Can I help it if I spend way too much time online? So I've limited myself to only answering 2 questions per night because I'm annoying myself and others, I'm sure. But there are other people in the class who just yell out all the answers - at least I raise my hand. Like last night, we were talking about title tags (how you put the title up at the top of the page - today's is Dawson vs. Felicity) and why you would use them. So I said "search engines". My friend was like, "How do you know all this stuff?" I don't know how. Maybe because I spend about 6 hours per day online? I mean, it is what I want to do for a career, so I guess it's a good thing that I know this stuff. But I do feel like a huge geek.

More and more marketing departments are using anthropologists to study customer behavior. We did that at Borders back in 1995. It was pretty interesting.

Do people really not change their default home page? I know they don't, actually. Anyway, it's allowing Microsoft and Netscape to make a lot of money off advertising because of the huge amount of pageviews they get. I changed mine to blank pages because I get annoyed at how long they take to load, plus I haven't found a page that I want to see every day.

One of the EW critics has a possible explanation of why Newsradio and Homicide got cancelled and Suddenly Susan and Veronica's Closet got renewed.

More Darths on Brunching Shuttlecocks. I started calling Mary Darth Mar because she tries to get me to skip class.

Chris Carter's new series will be about virtual reality. Isn't that so, like, 1993.
