I decided to revamp my color scheme for the month of November. Really, I'm just doing it so I feel justified in doing a holiday color scheme in December. Maybe I'll be like Kymm and change every month. Also, I was in Sears buying a new vacuum cleaner belt (and I know you are all just so jealous of my exciting life) and I picked up some paint chip samples that show different colors that go together, and decided to use those in the color change. Then I hated how it looked, so I went with my own color choices. I think it looks OK. Do you?

I also wanted to say that I have been just awful about answering my e-mail lately, so if you've sent me something and I haven't answered, I apologize. But I accidentally deleted a bunch of stuff last night, and your e-mail might have been in it. So if you're waiting for some sort of response from me, e-mail me again. Please?

So Jim and I have really gotten into the wrestling as of late. No, not the two of us wrestling. World Wrestling Federation Wrestling. Scoff if you must, but that stuff is hilarious, and it's more entertaining than most of the cheesy teen dramas I watched last year. My favorite wrestler is Stone Cold Steve Austin. Jim's favorite is The Rock. It really is fascinating stuff. Jim think I should start doing wrestling recaps on this site. Would you like it? E-mail me and let me know. They would be much in the style of the recaps I do for Mighty Big TV - sarcastic and making fun of the show for the most part, but you could still get caught up on what you missed. You can e-mail me at fresh@fresh-hell.com or use the links to the left there.

What else happened this week? We got a little bit of snow earlier this week. Wednesday, I think it was. It didn't stick to the ground though. Last year, we didn't get any snow worth while until after Christmas, then we had something like 20 days in a row of snowfall. It was cool at first, but it quickly grew tiresome. Most of it fell during my mid-semester break though, so I didn't mind. It's not like I had to leave the house ever. It's kind of cozy with snow on the ground and being inside all day. I wish we had a fireplace though.

So, did I tell you all about my diet? I don't think I did. I'm jumping on the low-carbs bandwagon. I'm kind of making up my own diet though. I'm cutting down on carbs, but not cutting them out entirely - sort of following the Carbohydrate Addicts' Diet reward meal thing. I'm trying to eat more vegetables, although so far that has consisted of salads mostly. I'm not a big fan of green vegetables but I promised myself that I would try some new ones. I'm also cutting down on sugar. I haven't had any cookies or chips this week! I did break down and eat a couple of Twizzlers, but that's it. No ice cream, no chocolate, nothing! And I've been drinking water and only drinking one soda per day, which is a huge deal for me. Some days I don't even drink the soda. I figure even if I'm not following any particular diet, it can't hurt to practice portion control, and try to eat a more balanced diet with less processed foods. I have found that I get fuller faster eating less carbohydrates. I'm going to follow the Carbohydrate Addict's Diet suggestion of doing the diet for 2 weeks before I try to add in exercise or anything else. The reasoning is that if you try to make many changes at once, and then you fail at one thing, you give everything up. But by doing it gradually, if you fail at one thing, you might just drop that thing and keep up with the rest. Makes sense to me! Even if I could just keep from gaining weight through the holidays, I would be happy. The weird thing is that this diet has totally brought back my smoking cravings. I must confess that I had a few cigarettes at the bachelorette party, but that's been my only slip-up. However, I have been having really bad cigarette cravings all the time! I'm trying to chew gum to counteract it, so we'll see.

So I didn't get nominated for a Diarist.net award. Oh well. I don't really fit into best new anymore and I hardly qualify for best overall. Maybe next time.

I am doing a web usability portal site for a class, so if anyone has any links like this one they want to send me, please do! It would be really helpful.

Judge finds Microsoft to be a monopoly. I almost feel bad for them. No, I don't. Just kidding!

Van Halen loses another lead singer. What is up with that? I love Eddie and all, but maybe they should just hang it up and go into production or do the occassional solo album or something.

Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman were arrested in Florida.

Hee hee! Skinner is a Buffy fan. How cute!

So the Backstreet Boys could not visit a dying girl before their concert. And I can respect that they probably get thousands such requests every day. But in this case, since it's in the news, they really should have reversed their decision and gone to visit her. It's the right thing to do. And now they look like dicks in the media. They need a new PR manager.

I agree with this critic's assessment of David Kelley's work.
