I hope this is a little more legible. I kind of like this design better anyway, although I think it makes the little stars at the top look weird. Oh well.

I've been kinda busy, which explains the lack of entries lately. Anyway, the new Real World summary is up over at Mighty Big TV, and the Party of Five summary should be up tomorrow, if all goes according to plan. Then I just have to write a paper for my Human Computer Interaction class, clean the house and pack before we leave on Friday! Well, it's good to be busy because it's kind of hard to appreciate your vacation when you don't do anything most of the time anyway.

Another exciting thing that has happened recently - Randy became a dad! Brendan David Clifton was born on September 30th, and mother, father and baby are doing well. That's Randy over there to the right, holding his son. It is so incredibly strange to me that Randy has a kid. I think he'll be a great dad and all. I mean, Pam has a kid (two, actually) but she always acted like a mom, even at 18. She was always the cautious one, and took care of the rest of us. But now Randy has a kid! I kind of think of Randy and Terry as having playmates instead of kids, since they act a lot like kids themselves. And I mean that in the best possible way. I'll never forget one Christmas at school, when I came back early from break, and Randy and Terry were busy playing with their Star Wars figures on the stairs - setting them up and then shooting stuff at them and pretending there was a big battle going on. But you can never say they aren't fun! And they keep me young acting, I think.

It is freezing in my apartment today. I think the heat actually kicked in last night. I was in bed, and I could smell a burnt smell - I'm assuming it was the heat kicking in after being off for so long. I hope nothing was really burning! I really have to find my slippers - I've been wearing Jim's and I think he wants them back.

We went over to Jim's parents and played cards on Sunday. If you remember, last time out, I won all three games we played and I was the "champeen!". Well, I won the one game we played on Sunday as well, so I'm on some sort of streak. I don't quite know how that happened. It was fun, though. Jim's sister-in-law, Helen, also quit smoking and we were joking that people have to be nice to us or we will rip their heads off. Well, she was joking. I was kind of serious. See my discussion of anger management yesterday.

There's another picture of Brendan for you. Doesn't he kind of look like a prize fighter? I guess being born is kind of a battle.

Our back door keeps slamming and it's freaking me out. I guess the wind makes it happen, but every time I got out there to shut it, it's firmly closed. I don't think it helps that one of our porch windows is gone (our landlord broke it). I have to remind him about that before the snow flies! I'm going to predict that we will get snow before the end of this month. So there you go.

That's about all I have to say today. See you later.

Matthew Sweet has a new CD out next week in stores, but you can preview it on his website. This begs the question - what do we call an album these days? An album? A CD? A release? Product? Help me out here.

Fred Durst, lead sing of Limp Bizkit. Fred Durst, film director?

The Real World producers are making a "documentary" about the formation of a new teen boy band, done by the guy who formed the Backstreet Boys and LFO. I can't pretend I won't watch this.

A new free PC business model sounds interesting, but I'm not giving up my cable modem so the dialup access doesn't appeal to me.

Scream 3 is being held until February. What else is coming out in December that appeals to that demographic? I don't know, but obviously Miramax feels there are too many films.

Margaret Cho is the subject of a new E! True Hollywood Story.

Reaching a little hard to make a Microsoft conspiracy to destroy Ninetendo?
