That little angel (literally) to the left is Randy and Meghan's son, Brendan. Isn't he a cutie? Rand e-mailed me some new pictures yesterday so I had to include this one, because it is too cute for words.

So our landlord and neighbor had a big fight with the wife last night. I don't know if they know about this site. I guess technically, they could. Well, it's not like I'm lying. They did have a big fight. I couldn't really tell what it was about, but I heard a lot of "I'm sick of it!" and yelling and stomping around by both parties. Then a little later, one of them (I'm guessing the husband) ran down the stairs, yelled "Fuck!" and slammed a lot of doors and left, I guess. Then a few hours later, he came back. He's also the one with tuberculosis. I was sitting in the living room and he was coughing (their bedroom is above our living room). He can't possibly be getting any sleep with that cough. Maybe that's why he's so cranky. I asked Jim if we have a bad relationship because we never have yelling, screaming fights. He said he doesn't think so. I hope he's right. I have literally never yelled at him. Well, one time I did. A few weeks ago, we were in the car and I was really craving a cigarette and kind of stressed out. We were mock-fighting and I yelled "Fuck you, motherfucker!" It felt really good, and we both laughed about it.

Speaking of smoking and the lack thereof, it's been exactly one month since I quit. I haven't had one cigarette yet! Yesterday was my first full day with no Nicorette either. I have to keep drinking a lot of water. Jim keeps talking about how much he would like a cigarette, and it's not helping! Also, I was watching Reality Bites, and they smoke a lot in that movie.

Speaking of Reality Bites, I was thinking something while watching it. I first saw that in a theater, which would have been 1994, I think it was with Mary and Randy. I remember thinking it was incredibly romantic and just like my life! Just like it! I had just graduated from college and was feeling a bit aimless. I really identified with the Winona Ryder character and thought it was so romantic that she chose Ethan Hawke. Then I saw the movie again a year or so ago. I couldn't believe she picked that greasy, immature Ethan Hawke over Ben Stiller, who was kind of dorky but a decent guy. Plus, I thought they all acted like a bunch of idiots in general. Just goes to show you what a big difference a few years can make!

The most interesting thing I learned from this review of the Woodstock '99 double CD is that my favorite song is on it: Elvis Costello singing "Alison". That song is perfection.

There are more overweight kids than ever before. I know when I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to drink soda. As I got older, it was limited to one can per day. I think that's why I drink so much of it now! Plus, my mom made a well-balanced dinner every day. I think a lot of families these days just eat whatever, because they're so busy.

Johnny Cash is in the hospital again. My friend Eric is looking for a poster of that picture of Johnny Cash flipping the bird. Anyone know where I can get that?
